Mitkovic external fixator for lower leg (tibia)
Common indications:
– open and closed shaft fractures,
– proximal and distal fractures,
– metaphyseal fractures,
– nonunion, malunion, pseudoarthrosis,
– fractures associated with severe burns,
– arthrodesis,
– fractures associated with planned plastic and reconstructive procedures.
NOTE:
Mitkovic external fixator for lower leg is applied using Schanz pins of 6 mm (mostly) and/or 6/5 mm. The system most commonly includes the Schanz pins of 120 and 130 mm in length. Other lengths (110–300 mm) are also available, and custom lengths can be manufactured upon request.
