Common indications:
Large defects of radius at the level of the distal metaphysis or shaft (if the defect is located at the shaft, a corticotomy is performed in the distal metaphysis and the graft is transported proximally), as well as large defects of the ulna.
NOTE:
Mitkovic reconstructive external fixator for upper limbs is applied using Schanz pins of 4 mm. Depending on the requirements, Schanz pins of 60-130 mm lengths are available, and custom lengths can be manufactured upon request.
